Second Baseman Glove Sizes:
When choosing a second baseman's glove it is important to choose the right size. Second baseman should be using an 11 1/4, or an 11 1/2 inch glove. These are really the three legitimate sizes for a second baseman to use. An 11 1/4 is great for a ballplayer who has full confidence in their fielding ability and just wants to be able to get the ball out quicker. An 11 1/2 is really the best of both worlds and this is the most ideal size for most second baseman. The 11 1/2 sized glove allows you to get the ball in easily and out quick.
Infield Gloves Webbing:
Webbing is mainly preference, but their are a couple different types of webbing that are recommended for second baseman. These webbings include the I-web, single post, 2-piece closed webbing. These webbing's are usually recommended for second baseman as they have shallower pockets allowing a second baseman to be able to get the ball out quick while turning a double play.
