USA Baseball Bats
USA Baseball Bats are relatively new to the world of youth baseball. The USA bat standard is something you probably have not heard of before. This is because it is the newest type of bat certification out there and these bats are not available quite yet. This bat certification will take effect January 1st, 2018. USA baseball is the national governing body of baseball in the United States. USA bat standard also measures the trampoline effect of the bat and it tries to make metal bats perform like wood.

What makes the USA bat standard different is they will use different test speeds and balls for different levels. Using different testing for different levels helps create bats more suit for the level they are for. Bats with the USA standard certification will not be available for purchase until September, 1st 2017. It is important to know what league you will be playing in come 2018. So, you know whether or not to purchase a bat with this new certification. The USA bat certification covers drop 5 bats through drop 12 bats. The bat diameters are available in 2 1/4 inch and 2 5/8 inch. Both diameters are legal for ages.
